House Fantesca

Close on the heels of House Ravi are the Fantescas. As one of the older, more established houses, it is no secret that Cedrick Fantesca despises Antonio Ravi's quick rise to prominence. On at least two occasions, Antonio has suffered a setback due to the machinations of Cedrick and they are sworn enemies.

Cedrick Fantesca inherited the house from his father Gil. Gil was responsible for establishing House Fantesca as a staunch supporter of the Slaver's Guild and apprenticed Cedrick to them at a very young age. Cedrick has always been a fiercely intelligent man and learned the ways of politics within the very fragmented social structure of the guild. When he left the guild at the age of 20 to join Gil in the "family business" of financing raids to the Jungles of Chult he kept all his contacts within the Guild current. As time wore on and Cedrick's contemporaries within the Guild rose to prominence he was able to leverage these personal relationships into a formidable bargaining area. As a result, the Fantesca's have gone from Rank 7 to Rank 2 within the last 10 years.

Rumor has it that Cedrick possesses some information that is currently desired by Antonio Ravi. The story is that it was obtained by someone within the Bard's Guild and Cedrick keeps it secret as long as he comes to no harm. Should something happen, the Bard's Guild has agreed to spread the infomation far and wide. This has strengthened Cedrick's ties to the Bard's Guild to the point that he apprenticed his 3rd child to the Guild in an attempt to curry favor.

No one knows at this time what angle Cedrick is working with the Bard's.
